Footbridge Closure Bowerhill Sports Field

Please be aware that the wooden footbridge providing access to the Bowerhill Sports Field has been closed from today (3^rd September 2026) due to damage to the structure.

Following concerns identified with the condition of the bridge, our Caretaker has closed the bridge which should not be used until further notice. For everyone's safety, please do not remove, move or interfere with the barriers or closure signage.

Alternative access to the sports field remains available:
Ramped access from Westinghouse Way
Alternative access from Portal Road

The parish council is already looking at replacing the footbridge and will be working to get a replacement in place as quickly as possible.
