There is a new planning application for 500 houses at land at Blackmore Farm; to the north east of Melksham, with the access off the A3102 Calne Road. There is already another application for 650 houses at the same location by the same applicants, so there is an assumption that it replaces the previous application. Nevertheless, this is a new application and it's being consulted on now, so if you did comment on the previous application it's important that you let the Wiltshire Council planning officers know your thoughts on this one. Link to the planning application, plans, all the supporting documents, and how to comment here: https://development.wiltshire.gov.uk/.../pl202311188... Melksham Without Parish Council will be considering at their Planning Committee meeting on Monday 5th February at 7pm. Parish residents are welcome to come along and comment - for those of you who live in the town, it might be more appropriate to attend the Melksham Town Council Economic Development meeting on Tues 30th January when they consider the same application. This new application is to demolish agricultural buildings, have up to 500 dwellings, land for a primary school, shops, employment land and open space.
